Privacy Policy
Effective October 2026
Vistyla uses your personal data only to give you the service you asked for. We never sell it, and we never use your photos to train AI models.
Who we are
Vistyla is an AI-powered in-store shopping platform for clothing retailers. This policy covers our website and the Vistyla shopper app used in stores. When you use the app in a store, we handle your data on behalf of that store. For our website and demo requests, Vistyla is responsible for your data. This policy follows Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.
What we collect and why
- Book a demo form: your name, work email, company, phone, number of stores and message, to arrange a demo.
- Try-on photo: the photo you add, only to create your preview.
- Measurements: used only to suggest your size. They stay on your phone.
The fitting-room and checkout lines give your phone a random code, not linked to your name, to manage your requests and send you alerts. We only use it in reports as anonymous totals.
What we never do
- Sell or rent your personal data
- Use your photos to train AI models, ours or anyone else's
- Use your data for advertising
- Show your try-on photos to store staff
Your try-on photo
With your consent, your photo is sent to a technology provider outside Sri Lanka, only to create your preview. The provider does not use your photos to train AI models. We delete our copies within 24 hours.
Who we share it with
Try-on images are processed by our technology provider only to create your preview. We don't share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Try-on photo and preview: deleted from our systems within 24 hours
- Demo requests: deleted once your demo is done
- Measurements: on your phone until you clear them
Cookies and security
We use no tracking or advertising cookies. The shopper app keeps your basket and settings on your phone, which you can clear at any time. Your data is sent over encrypted connections and seen only by authorised people.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time (see Contact us). If you're not happy with how we've handled your request, please tell us first. You can also contact the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka.
Children
Vistyla is not meant for children under 16. A child should use try-on only with a parent or guardian's permission.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and show the new effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use photos, we will ask for your consent again in the app.
